Read he'll be starting in CF while Erstad (now there is a guy the Angels have a hard on for. I have no idea why though?) is on the DL.

I certainly hope it is time... I'm in a 12 team roto league that starts 5 OF and It looks like Sheff might miss a while for me. I added Rivera yesterday. I don't want a miracle season... Just a stop gap for a few weeks. Here's to hoping.

I plan on plugging him in for Bradley over the next couple of weeks. I play in a 13 team league with 2 utility spots, so there are not a lot of greater options. Rivera is not spectacular, but at least you know that he will not kill you.

By the way, the guy had a 10% success rate with SBs last year. While Soscia is the sort that would give John Krukl the greenlight, I don't think that Rivera is in danger of getting double digit steals even if he played 162 games.

I picked him up. I think he is a great sleeper. He's "27" and he will get a ton of time in CF while Erstad is down. They are now saying a couple of months for Erstad. I'm predicting it's Rivera's job now. Erstad is just awful offensively.

"Golf Cart" is at best a fantasy 5th OF imo. He might be useful, but I do not see him being all that valuable.

Yea, baby!!!! The "golf cart" delivered a Grand Salami last night. I said it before and I'll say it again, at age 27 and with MLB experience, he is an excellent sleeper.

Give me a break. Juan Rivera. LOL. Even after last night he's got 3 homers 12 RBI and he's hitting .255 and he's 0 for 1 in SBs.

Just because a guy is getting playing time, or is 27 years old, or has a very good arm, or is batting in whatever spot in the lineup he is, doesn't mean he's useful, a sleeper, or going to have a breakout year, or even that he has potential.

27 Year old players don't have potential. 27 is when you're supposed to be in your prime. But when you've never done anything in your career and you're not a regular player, you're not going to have this breakout productive year.

He's just not good guys. Get off it.

You said only 3 homeruns and 12 rbi like thats horrible. He only has 51 atbats this season. I'm sure all these people aren't picking him up to be their #1 outfielder. I picked him up to be my 5th outfielder, and he has the potential to put up decent numbers while he's playing.
