Did you go Boring, Extreme or The Coach?
Yep! I very rarely miss a chance to vote. I took my daughter today and explained everything. I think tomorrow we'll have a vote to see which of her stuffed animals gets to be The Leader. She understood the idea of it, but it's a concept so I think she'll forget it by next week.
I told the women at the poll that they should have "Kid's Ballots" so the kids could vote on something. It'll teach them to vote early and (hopefully) get them interested in voting later on in life.
As for Governor candidates, I voted for None Of The Above. I'm not allowed to vote for party affiliates because I'm an Independent. I voted on local issues and some Board people today. I get to vote for Governor in November.
Who's leading? I haven't been looking...
Heinemann took it with 49%, Osborn with 45% and Nabity with 5%. I'm one of the few that went with Nabity. I think Heinemann's been doing a decent job though, just a few things I don't agree with.
Great idea with the 'Kid's Ballots'. I took mine and he had quite a few questions. He recalled all the signs in the yards and recognized some of the names on the ballots. He mentioned a couple times that I should 'vote for that guy'. I'd ask why and his answer was because 'his sign was cool'. He likes Ricketts because he likes saying 'Ricketts'. He'll be glad to know Ricketts won this morning.
