Was not a very highly touted prospect in the minors(number 7 in the Astros system last year according to BA, C+ grade according to John Sickels), had a lot of injury problem in the minors, hasn't put together one good season on paper since 2003 in AA Reading.

Question to Astros fans everywhere? What changed this year? Did he just need to get healthy? Did he learn a new pitch? Did you guys see it coming at all?

The quick answer is he's given up a .152 BA on balls in play, lowest in baseball. He cannot maintain this, and given that he doesn't strike people out, he'll likely come crashing back to mediocrity soon. I would sell quickly if there are any takers.

He's got a real good hook.

No I don't think he'll keep this pace up but he should be all right.

A lot of pitchers come into the league and dominate over a short time frame until the league catches up to them. Ride him while he's hot but be quick with dumping him when he's not.
