Help With My Team

Postby BravesFan180 » Sun May 07, 2006 10:28 pm

I am looking at making some moves and need help with them.

At 1B, I have Howard and Helton and do not know what to do with them, whether to keep both or trade one and get another player?

At SS, Renteria is a FA and I didn't know whether or not I should drop Barmes and pick-up Renteria?

For LF, RF, and CF, I have the options between my team and the FA pool to have Wilson, Bay, Jenkins, Hunter, and Patterson, but do not know which 3 to go with?

Also, I have kept one SP spot for a spot starter everyday like I have Fossum now, should I keep doing this or do something else with that spot like have both Barmes and Renteria?

The individual categories are: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, W, SV, K, ERA, WHIP.

12 Team Head to Head League

Here is my team:

C: Josh Willingham
1B: Todd Helton
2B: Chone Figgins
SS: Clint Barmes
3B: Melvin Mora
LF: Craig Wilson
CF: Jason Bay
RF: Geoff Jenkins
Util: Travis Hafner
BN: Ryan Howard
DL: Coco Crisp

SP: Johan Santana
SP: Randy Johnson
SP: Curt Schilling
SP: Dan Haren
SP: Felix Hernandez
RP: Derrick Turnbow
RP: Billy Wagner
RP: Akinori Otsuka
RP: Duaner Sanchez
BN: Kevin Millwood
BN: Casey Fossum

Thanks for all the help, guys.

Barmes and Renteria are a wash right, depends on what you need them for and how well they'll continue. Shifting to Renteria should help your BA, but I'd probably sit tight with Barmes myself. I don't think Patterson or Hunter would be a big improvement over your current OFs.

Why are carrying Sanchez as an RP? Are there no other closers available? Check on Borowski, Walker, Putz, or Burgos.

Since you can't play Hafner, Helton and Howard I'd trade one for a bigger bat that you can use, like in the OF.

The last I heard Crisp will back in the lineup within a couple of weeks. Before you trade or drop, etc. think about who you'll be dropping when he's healthy.

Good luck.

I'd appreciate it if you'd look over mine.

Definitely drop Sanchez. There is no need for him.

I'd go with Renteria...can't argue with a 22-game hitting streak.

And I would trade Helton or Howard for, like the previous guy said, a big bat in the OF. You could even package Genkins or Wilson in the deal for an even better offer.

I dropped Sanchez and got Renteria. Now I have both Barmes and Renteria.

Who should I try and trade, Helton or Howard?

Helton's age and his coming off the mystery stomach illness makes him a little iffy to me. Howard is really coming on right now. I'd offer Helton, but let the other owner know that Howard is a possibility too.
