Mets righthanded pitcher Victor Zambrano underwent successful surgery today at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan. Zambrano was diagnosed with a torn flexor muscle of the right elbow. Mets Medical Director Dr. David Altchek executed the procedures. Dr. Altchek removed bone spurs for Victor's elbow, repaired the torn tendon and preformed Tommy John surgery to repair a torn ligament.

Sounds a bit more severe than they made it sound initially. Also makes it seem like he's been injured for awhile and never completely healed after that 1st injury his first year here.
