Hamels is the guy everyone's saving their waiver priority for, and is more likely to be called up sooner than billingsley.

Is Hamels really that good to make an impact right away? I mean pitching callups rarely ever make that big of an impact immediately unless they are Felix Hernandez. I know Hamels is a top prospect but is he really worth saving your #1 waiver priority for. I mean I remember 2 years ago, the fantasy world was saying save your 1st waiver spot for BJ Upton and we all know how well that turned out.

pitchers usually pay off better because the batters don't know them very well. I think Hamels is ready, just watch out for the injury bug.
