Playoffs:
AL : Yanks over White Sox(WC)
AL: A's over Twins
Divisional: A's over Yanks (i hope)
Playoffs:
NL: Philly over San Fran(WC)
NL: Houston over LA
Divisional: Houston over Philly
World Series: A's over Houston
Explanations:
White Sox will get the Wild Card as they get to beat up on the Indians, Tigers, and KC 19 times each.
Atlanta won't make the playoffs with current roster. You'll see that Paul Byrd was a fluke, Russ Ortiz is mediocre, and Hampton is a stretch. If they make a few deals , then they could take away the WC from San Fran.
St. Louie won't stand a chance against Houston and the Cubs who have much better pitching.
Why Montreal over the Mets? Mets are overrated for one, they have hitters that won't hit the ball out much at Shea, and their pitchers are one snap of a curveball away from retiring.
Montreal , on the other hand, have a nice middle of the lineup, and have young starters who still have upside left. It's too bad no one watches them, because their team is better than people think.
Wouldnt the A's vs. Astros make one heckuva WS??
Just imagine it: Zito vs Oswalt, Mulder vs Miller, Tejada and Chavez vs. Berkman, Bagwell and Kent. Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!
P.S. Sorry Twins fans, I know I am disappointing you by picking the A's over us this year. There really isn't much difference in the clubs since last season, but maybe a new closer, and maybe thats all the A's needed. Chances are Tejada won't stink it up again in the postseason against our established, but mediocre rotation.(Unless you put Johan Santana in the equation.)
