The line Yahoo's showing me for his start versus the Pirates today is:

7.0 ip, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K plus the win.

First, let me preface by saying I am in a 20 team league and pitching is overvalued on the stats. So basically it's a scramble to get any good starter. Do you guys think this was just a random good start? Was it because it was against the Bucs? Or are the Nationals already succeeding at De-Coors-ing him?

Is he really the 2004 pitcher with the 3.93 ERA on a bad team, or is he last year's 6.75 era in DC?

Thanks for any thoughts on the matter!

When his sinker is working he can be very effective but he's no more than a spot starter when he's pitching at home against the weaker NL offenses.

Do not pick him up, ever. He is a horrible pitcher.

I'm glad the Rockies realized that. :-°
