Where di you hear he's headed for the DL? That info contradicts Yahoo's most recent info on him.

Orioles placed catcher-designated hitter Javy Lopez on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 28, with a mid-back strain.
Raul Chavez will act as the No. 2 catcher until Lopez returns, hopefully as soon as his 15 days are up. Once Miguel Tejada's knee allows him to play shortstop, Kevin Millar and Jeff Conine can take turns DHing. Luis Matos is replacing Lopez on the roster and will help out in the outfield.

Well that's good in the sense that I don't have to drop him to replace him and that his status is known.
