He is awesome. When he takes the mound you just feel like the Mets are unbeatable. It's been a long time since the Mets have had a reliever like that and we have this one for awhile! Hopefully Wagner can get back to that level soon. It's laughable how bad Omar got shelled for the Seo trade.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Yeah I actually own him in the only 2 leagues I am in. I even had a chance to drop Sanchez for JJ Putz the other day and I didn't do it. Maybe I'm a homer, but Sanchez is just so reliable. (I was even lucky enough to have him on my bench in one of thosel leagues when he let up his run)
And he hasn't pitched in quite some time...I'm hoping for 1-2 scoreless beauties tonight

Too bad Duaner blew up yesterday. 1/3rd ip and 4 er is ugly, but i still think the guy will be a great set up man all season, but i dont think id want him to fill in at closer if Wagner went down. Wasnt he like 8-12 in saves chances last year or something. Id probably rather have Heilman.

Stuff happens. Last night is just magnified because Sanchez has been so good. I'm glad that the Mets have two options (maybe even three counting Julio) who could fill in at closer should something happen to Wagner. Although I would still prefer Sanchez should the need arrive. Nothing against Heilman who I think is a fine option but I think Sanchez's three pitches, ability to induce ground balls and the ability to reach back and blow someone away if need be make him better suited for the role.

Going from memory I believe he was actually 8-8.
I just checked some ESPN stats and he said he had 4 BLSV's.
