Will Willy Taveras steal bases?

I have him on my bench and i was planning to put him in for short periods of time to just get some steals while getting some runs here and there...

what is his situation? he stole 34 bases in his rookie year...

I don't own him and am to lazy to check but I believe he is hitting in front of Berkman so he has no need to steal, him and Biggio would need to flip flop for SB's to probably happen, IMO.

Exactly right. Biggio and Ensberg are hitting .310, Berkman .360. Running Taveras is a waste, even if he can steal a base, because there's always a guy in front of him and some serious longball behind. As long as Houston keeps mashing, Taveras isn't worth much.

I believe he's been caught 3 times in 4 attempts as well, which kind of sucks. Having 4 steals on the year would make him worth using.
