Is this just a case of a young kid going through some growing pains? Do you suspect that he will still be a great pitcher? I own him in a dynasty league and I am interested in your thoughts.

Please see my response in the BASEBALL LEFTOVERS section in the "is Felix a bust" thread.

Do not drop him is the general point.

seriously, he's 20 years old. a mere college aged kid pitching at the highest level in the world. and he's still striking people out by the handful. felix will be just fine. ;-D

The problem w/ him is he isn't very sharp right now. After he gets more starts and gets back to getting his control to where it needs to be, he should be fine.

There was an article that said all Felix wanted for his birthday was his slider. Apparently, the Mariners are not letting him throw that pitch because of his age and shoulder concerns. What's up with that? He's also having an issue with the way Johima calls games. In Japan, they call for more off-speed stuff but King Felix needs to just bring the goods.

Anyone else with any info on what Seattle has going on with Felix??

The reason they won't let him throw his slider is cause it puts more pressure on his shoulder/elbow and they are taking it really careful w/ him. It really shouldn't have any effect on how he pitches cause he has never had full or even part use of it before.

I've also heard the same thing about his catcher, which doesn't bother me to much. His control isn't sharp right now and I tyhink that is his biggest problem.
