Why didn't Pedro pitch 7 innings?

He had only thrown 77 pitches? Any Mets fans out there know if anything was wrong or are they just trying to save him as much as possible for later in the season?

No worries. Field conditions were horrible; it was raining like mad and they wanted to get him out of there.

Yep, unbelievably heavy rains. I was at the game, and was suprised they didn't call it or at least make a delay. They took him out because with the way the rain was coming down they figured it would be a shortened game. Wagner blew save #3 killing Pedro's win, but Delgado played hero again.
