Anybody else worried that Huff is rushing back too soon?

Postby Thursday » Wed May 03, 2006 7:04 pm

Geez, he was supposed to be gone 4-6 weeks, now he'll be back friday. I'm worried that he's rushing it. What do you guys think?

And yes, i realize it was suckin it up before he got hurt, too. I held onto him.

The only place I recall reading an estimate of 4-6 weeks is on a fantasy baseball news site. He was placed on the 15 day DL on April 13, that time has passed, prior to being put on the DL there were those that suspected he wouldn't be put on the DL. The injury didn't look too serious. I don't think they are rushing anything. It's a knee injury, either you can play on it or you can't.

For fantasy purposes, the way he has hit the past couple of years does it really matter?

Couple of years? I know of only 1 down year, which was last season. Prior to that the two previous were spectacular from a fantasy standpoint. Because of his sucess at the ML level and minors, i'll cautiously optimistic that he will be productive this season, but he has not had multiple bad seasons in a row.
