Brady Clark? Anyone still have hope (besides family)

Hey All,

No, I'm NOT related to Mr. Clark. But I definitely had higher hopes for his season based on past performance.

Now I may be a poor evaluator, or maybe he's got something going majorly wrong for him, but he sure hasn't looked like the player I expect.

With his struggles, and the Brewers putting others in the OF, is anyone seeing anything that shows he's gonna break out of this funk he's in now?

Uncomfirmed but I've heard that his own mother picked up Bill Hall for her fantasy team last week.

Brady was good for me last year, but he has never shown any history of being a solid fantasy contributor outside of the 2005 season. Even then, he was only really helpful last year for runs and average, and he won't do anything for you in those categories right now with his .200 average and hitting in the 8th spot in front of the pitcher.

Billy Hall has a higher fantasy upside than Clark does, if you can get him. Gabe Gross also might steal at bats in the OF, so I think Clark's hold on the everyday CF spot there is far more tenuous than it was last year.

Well he's one of the worst base stealers I've seen so his 10 SB from last year is about his upside. He doesn't have great power so the 13 HR's from last year is about his upside. He could hit .300 again but last year he had a pretty huge hot streak or he'd have hit around .280, which is probably the safer range for him.

So if a .280 hitting OF with 10-13 HR and 7-10 SB who will get maybe 85-90 runs has value in your league then I'd hold on to him. My league plays 5 OF and I'd value him as a 5th OF in it.
