Those on the inside, friends and sports analysts following the story, think he is going to be back pitching early June. This would make sense to me, figure he has to make at least two rehab starts (10 days for that). If he signs within the next two weeks, he will be on target for first week of June. That's my prediction. I also think its solely between the Redsox and Astros, with the Astros having the upper hand because of familiarlity and location.

Clemens could pitch today. In fact he could have pitched last month. More likely, he won't pitch until June. Keep an ear out for him signing with a team -- he won't be in game shape right away anyway.
