The Cubs' lefty with outrageous K/9 rates in the minors was called up and will be squaring off against former Northsider Juan Cruz in Arizona.
Hill's been rock solid at AAA Iowa so far this year... 25 IP with 1.44 ERA and 33 K's to 7 BB's. In his only stint in the bigs, he struggled with his control last year and issued 17 BB's in 23.2 innings on his way to a 9.13 ERA.
I would assume that he'll be replacing Rusch in the Cubs' starting rotation. He's definitely worth a flier in NL-only leagues, and I might stow him away safely in the overhead bench space in my mixed leagues as well. I think he's worth the gamble... that career 12.58 K/9 in the minors has me licking my chops.

If he's found some control... Watch out!

Who would you rather have off the Cubs staff - Rich Hill or Sean Marshall. Currently using Marshall for spot starts here and there when D. Cabrera is facing a tough match up.

Hill got lit up big time last year in the majors. We shall see if he has improved from that.

I could be wrong but Arizona isn't exactly the best place to start the kid. I agree with waiting to use Hill.
