Jeter's a great value in fantasy. Solid contributions in 5 cats and consistent year to year in a relatively light position. Not as high as Young or Tejada, but easily at the next level for SS. I'd rate him #3 just above Rollins and Reyes.
He wen't too early for my taste (and before I could think about getting him) in my money league and ended up with Rollins over 10 picks later. That's pretty overrated for Jeter, seeming to be rare as in another league I saw Jeter unprotected with 8 keepers allowed - which is ridiculous.
Jeter's production all around is better out of the 2 hole. I think Jeter has a shot at winning the AL MVP if he can get to 25 HRs since his runs and average will be among league leaders and of course the defense and intanglibles only help his cause. If he can reach that 25 mark, he may end up around 90 rbis.
I am looking to get him on all my teams. I am not sure if he ends up #1 at SS this year, but he's top 3 in my book based on "typical" fantasy scoring and cats.
Definitely undervalued. I own both Reyes and Jeter in different leagues and while I'm happy with both, Jeter was obviously the better value pick. His ability to hit for average (what is he at, .310 career?) is pretty huge, and obviously if you've got him in an obp league an obp around .400 at ss is nothing short of dominant.
