Change owners in Yahoo?

Is it possible to assign a team to a new owner in a non-public Yahoo! league? I've got a couple people who want to take over dead teams, but it's not at all clear how I can do this.

I've heard you can email Yahoo and ask. I emailed them and they changed some settings for us that I normally as commish can't change. I'd give that a shot.

if you are the commish, email yahoo customer care with:

team name:
old yahoo ID:
new yahoo ID:
new email address for team:

and you should get taken care of.

After multiple emails, I found out that Yahoo can't in any way assign a new manager to a current team. The most they can do is change the yahoo ID and email address of a current manager. :,-(

Isn't a new Yahoo ID the same as a new manager?

You'd think, but that but if the current manager isn't the new ID then they can't do it. Like the new team can't control the team.

that doesn't make any sense. whatever the new ID is that the team in transferred to has control of the team, whether it's the same person or not

can you post some of the correspondence that led you to that conclusion?

I'm guessing they arent actually transferring the team but simply renaming the manager's username. Sounds to me like the link cant be broken and re-assigned.

i'm not sure what link you are talking about, but if you send them the info i mentioned previously, you can have any team in your league re-assigned to anyone else as long as you provide the new ID and email. when the manager logs into their ID that the team was transferred to, they will have access to the team

Any chance that they'd do a swap? I've only got 2 leagues I really care about enough to look at in depth (ie do anything other than answer trade requests, set lineups and replace DL guys) and they're on different Yahoo logons. Think they'd let me shuffle a league under the one logon with a league in the other?
