Why is Pujols out today?

This came as absolutely no surprise to me. At all.

I live in stl. If anyone else does, they will second the fact that the media here NEVER says a bad/discouraging thing about the cardinals ever (I am exagerating, but seriously, it is very 'spun'). A while ago I heard them talking to Pujols' wife on the radio (I have NO sources/links/whatever) but she was saying that she has never seen him so tired and in so much pain before, and she specifcally mentioned his lower back, which I have been noticing he has come up holding several times after at bats the last coupla weeks... Anyway, I don't think that it is anything serious at all (THAT at least would be all over the press here), but he has been nagged by this for a bit...

From what you're hearing does it sound like something worth benching him on fantasy teams for a few days? He's 8/24 with a double and 3 home runs from 4/24 on so he seems to be producing with the injury....just wondering if they've been saying it's gotten worse to the point that it might be worth giving him a break on fantasy teams (even if the Cardinals keep him in the lineup).

i lost lee, helton and now pujols. hopefully he's back in the lineup tomorrow.

i'm curious as to how many teams ARE in your league

I mean Lee is a 4th rounder at worst in a 12 team standard league
Helton was still an early 3rd rounder at worst

If you have those three guys.. and they are out, you're team must blow. No offense... get it? Offense? Sorry, bad joke.

Anyways I hope a healthy return for Rolen and Pujols by weeks end.
