I was wondering if anyone had any insight to why his ERA is so high... is his hit % high or something? I did a search but noone has said anything about him w/ any substance to it... his K/9 isn't too bad and his walks are low... it's just that his ERA is sky high

i'd like to add a 2 start pitcher before this week gets started, and his matchups (@FLA: Olsen, SF: Morris) look pretty good

just heard about Angel Guzman and am now debating :-?

His BABIP is up around .360, but that doesn't explain his ERA and WHIP - he's simply not pitching well right now. His K and BB rates are normal.

Yeah. A control pitcher with bad control usually gets rocked. Nothing new for Lieber as he is known to go through streaks of beigng real bad and pretty good.

LIeber is pitching fine. His HR rate, SO rate, and BB rate are each as good or better than over the past two years. He gave up 7 runs in a start in Colorado and had one other bad start. There is no indication in the secondary numbers that he isn't pitching up to par.
