He's pitching like the darkhorse, 20-game winner that I called....too bad the rest of his team can't step up. Sure he's only 1-1 after today, but he should be 3-1.
I'll guess that a lot of people will be surprised when I say every start, but his first of the year, has been a "qualty start". In his last 5 games (including today):
1.69 ERA
1.03 WHIP
18 K's
Sure his K's are overpowering, but I'd rather have Lowe and his ratios then someone else who gets K's but gives up a fair amount of hits and runs.
I'm not saying he's going to keep up this pace all year, but I think a lot of people may have underestimated him for this year....especially since his first game disaster has distorted his numbers.

Another good preformance from Lowe without a W to show. Left in the 8th with one out, nobody on, in a 3-2 game.
His line for the game:
7.1 IP
7 Hits
1 BB
2 ER
6 K's
I can't wait for the pen to get it together, b/c Lowe is getting everything but the win.

Greater than 75% of the balls that batters hit off of him go on the ground!

At some point, the NL will learn to lay off that slider like the AL finally figured out... Then Lowe can go to Japan for a while and hit on the Japanese girls.

The Dodgers are sort of in a holding pattern offensively. They don't want to spend too much on the free agency market right now because they've got some good hitters and pitchers down on the farm. In a few years, they're going to be really good.
