Oakland's offense has been pretty non-existant, but Franklin hasn't exactly been pitching very well either. Tough call, but I'd probably go ahead and bench him.

I traded him and Quantrill a couple weeks ago for Beltran. I'm just mad that Franklin is beating my newly-zcquired Zito. :-C

Impressive start for sure, but only 1k so far and 3bbs through 7 innings. He's only given up 1 hit though. Is this just a lucky outing or is he going to continue to be solid? Seemed like he faded the past month or so and that K/BB ratio still scares me. That and he was giving up the long ball a lot. Anyone heard something different about him now?

Make that 2ks. One hitter going into the 9th. Great outing, but I'm just not sold on this guy.

I give you credit if you started him-- I didn't, and now I'm regretting it-- I'm in a battle this week and it would have helped.
Contrary to some opinon, I am sold on him, I think he is what he is-- a mid-rotation starter. I trust him to be a solid quality start guy, as a rule, six/seven innings, ERA around 4 for the season. This was special tonight. I go with him on matchup-- I figured against Zito it wasn't a good matchup-- and I was wrong!
