I watch him pitch a bit last night and man the mets couldnt touch him except for lo duca.... my only worry with him is all the walks and the fact hes never left out there more then 6 innings does anyone think he can keep it up the rest of the year?
Im thinking of dropping verlander for him

Even though Thomson looks really good this year, I wouldn't drop Verlander for him. I'd look to drop someone else, but that whole idea is slated for the draft/trade/waiver forum.

He's healthy, and looking to have one of his best all around seasons yet. If the Braves can get the bats rolling he'll win a lot of games. But so far he's not been able t go more than 6+ innings. Maybe in some of the games it was because they wanted to be cautious with him coming off injury. This is a guy that went 8-1, 2.45 era, 1.16 whip in the second half of 04. Then had a 3.42/1.26 whip to start 05 before getting injured. His K's rate will probably drop off some soon and I'm not sure I'd rather have him over Verlander yet

His last start they were being cautious, yanked him after like 70 pitches. Yesterday he went into the 7th, but got taken out for Villarreal. I think he'll end up with like

205 IP
150 K
3.35 ERA
1.15 WHIP
14-15 W
