Buehrle Bandwagon - In for a Speed Bump?

Postby easygoing » Wed Jul 23, 2003 8:31 am

Alright, I started riding the Buehrle bandwagon right when he turned it around (good for me)... but now we have Buehrle vs. Halladay at Toronto tonight. Do we plow ahead, or should we put Buehrle on leave for a start. Any Whitesox fans, please contribute your two cents. How does this matchup look? How has Buehrle and the rest of the chi-sox been playing!!

Finally - DO I START BUEHRLE?

Halladay... celebrate!

Finally, a chance to post his name as a Madonna song. In answer to your question, I think you could probably get away with starting both, but I'd be weary in starting Buehrle against the Toronto offensive machine. Chicago has Frank Thomas, but everyone else is far from a sure thing. Halladay mops up the Yanks and Sox like they were little leaguers, so the chance that Buehrle wins this one is that much more slim. Quite the duel, though.

I'm benching him. Go look at his game log and see the monster offenses he's been shutting down. We're talking about the likes of Detroit and Tampa Bay. Toronto is the first good offense he's faced in a while.

Halladay has been pitching so well over his last 14 starts, he's got to come back to earth sometime. I think tonight is the time! I'm starting Buehrle in hope of a complete game shutout! :-)

I never thought I'd say this, but: GO SOX! :-D

According to ESPN Buehrle is going against Kelvim Escobar tonight and not Halladay.
