stupid A's fans, they just don't get it. When Beanne traded Cruz for Halsey this spring, I told all my A's friends fans we just traded away something good. I told them he had electric stuff, and if he puts it together he is really good, and of course they don't get it, they laugh at me think im an idiot and say Cruz is horrible didn't u see him last yeaR??

sigh, i knew trading cruz for halsey was bad, cruz has a lot of upside, he not gonna be an ACE, but he has the stuff to be a good major league pitcher. With the problems of Loaiza and Harden, I wish we still had Cruz, to come into the rotation, instead he is gonna be like the 2nd best pitcher on the dbacks, wut a shitty trade.

I hate when ppl don't understand stuff, like when I say Jose Cruz is good or that Juan Dominguez has potential, cuz they were both good prospects at one time, and all people look at are what they did in 2005 to make judgment. Anyways why is it Billy Beanne never likes power arms? Rich Harden is like the only power arm he has ever had, i mean i guess Haren is a good strikeout guy, but its like we traded Cruz for Halsey, Halsey is decent, but Cruz throws like 98MPH, halsey throws like 88, geee, which one has more upside? u tell me.

long story short, Cruz is a nice sleeper, i was excited when we got him in the hudson trade, cuz i think he can be a good starter, or a good closer if given the chance to put it all together. He walks a lot of guys thoughand that can be a problem.

He reminds me a little bit of Escobar, and if Cruz can keep it together, he can be the 2nd best pitcher on the dbacks. keep an eye on him.

Is Cruz in the rotation to stay for the D-Backs??

Most likely. The problem with Mini-Pedro is that he doesn't have good stamina, he'll throw a lot of pitches, and he has no command. You can't count on him to go more than 5-6. Electric stuff, though.

He said he's NOT gonna become an ace. Did you even read his post? Even if you had mistakenly read that sentence, the rest of the post should have given you some clue that he doesn't think he'll be an ace, but rather a solid starter with nice potential due to great stuff, that could help with injuries to Harden and Loaiza.

Notice the thread title said to "keep an eye" on Cruz. Nobody said that you should go dumping studs to get him. But the kid does have a ton of potential. And, at 27, maybe, just maybe, this is his time. Look at a guy like John Patterson who always had the same potential, then finally put it together last year at 27. I'm just saying that Cruz is at that age. And his first start was very encouraging. Keep an eye on him. That's all.

ty ;-D

i think every1 can agree cruz has potential as a major league #2 or #3, its not that big of a deal he is 27, there are plenty of guys with great stuff who are late bloomers. Cruz has gaughty strikeout potential which will always warrarnt fantasy consideration! ;-D
