He looked really good today. I think he might end up surprising a lot of people. In his first start, he went 5 innings, gave up only 1 ER and 2 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 0. The guy is 27 now. Keep your eye on him.
Cruz has been a guy to watch for about 4 years now. Always had potential (sort of like Armas) but never panned out. He'd really have to string a bunch of quality games together to get me to notice at this point.

He was a Cubbie prospect but never seemed to put it together and didn't get the chance he should have in some cases. I remember endurance being an issue with him. Right now I think his best value is in a Scot Shields type role, but anything could happen. Mazzone must have taught him something...

I think Juan Cruz has much better stuff/upside than all the guys you mentioned, that's why, unlike them, he should be watched closely.
I completely agree. Although Robertson is also a nice pitcher.
Cruz can miss bats, and was just nasty last year when demoted to Triple-A. The move to the NL might be good for him. Don't forget, he also pitched very well out of the pen for the Braves two years ago.
