YES! DO IT! Do you realize the revenue this dude would bring to the league????

I don't know much about the CFL, but if they either don't care about image, or can take a hit in image, then Ricky's a great addition. He'll help out the team, no doubt, but should bring another audience to the CFL too. I know I'd keep up on how he's doing.

The CFL is great football to watch, but obviously we can't come close to matching salaries in the NFL. I haven't heard much about his contract but I imagine they'll throw about 5 mil at him. It's the worst signing in the history of Canadian sports teams since AJ Burrnett. Yeah let's give 5.5 million/year and a 5 year contract to a guy who has never pitched much over 200 innings in a season. :-/

I think his record is 209 IP's. Ricky is a goofball, he will bring nothing but headaches to the CFL.

D-Store, he hasn't been signed..yet. The Argos placed him on their negotiation list, that means if he wants to play in the CFL, he'll have to come talk to the Argos. However, it isn't apparent whether he even wants to play in the CFL, or if the Dolphins will let him (because he still is under contract with them). Max money in the CFL is a little over 1 million, anyway.

Oh and Burnett got 11 million a year.. :-D

You are right... I mixed up Burnett's salary with BJ's (Thanks for making my Jays look even more stupid... :-b ) As for the Ricky Williams story. I only read part of the article, I really could have been less interested but thanks for clearing it up. I'm really not a football fan. I watch the odd game and I claim to be an Argos fan but I couldn't even name 5 players on that team.

you would criticize the burnett signing if it were 5.5 million a year? that would have been an absolute steal;

I read this morning that Ricky won't be allowed to play there because while under suspension in the NFL, he can't play for another league. This is according to Miami Herald, confirmed by the Dolphins, and reported by CBSSportsline.
