Bright spot for Beltre?

I haven't seen any Mariner's games, but does anyone know the reason for Beltre's SB bonanza this month? He's stolen 7 bases so far this season, while only stealing 3 last year and 7 in all of '04. Has it been simply a wealth of opportunities, or is he going to be running more?

I'll take any bright spots I can find to go along with a sub .200 AVG and no power. ...

Hargrove said at that start of the season he wanted the team to run more (stealing, going for extra bases, etc.) to put pressure on opponents.

It would probably help if the Mariners could get on base first.
