Furthermore, alcoholism is genetic but I also have no sympathy for someone who is a drunk and kills someone in a DUI. Just because someone is genetically predisposed to something doesn't mean they are given an out as far as their actions.

LOL, a 13 year old w/ that sort of action must be the talk of the school. I bet this will drive some sort of barrier between him and his mom... :-D

i dont really buy that any more than i buy that it's a disease. it's an addiction and people become alcoholics becasue they cant control their drinking and/or dont/wont get help for it

It is an addiction, but one that occurs due to a genetic predisposition. You should read up on this stuff. It's absolutely fascinating. ;-D
