Time to dump Brad Wilkerson?

Postby biju » Wed Apr 26, 2006 6:24 pm

He wasn't in today's lineup and he's hitting too low to get any value in a trade. I'm about 10 minutes away from dumping him outright unless someone can change my mind.

Besides, wasn't something hurting him and it's likely causing these problems? Right now this joker is just taking up real estate on my bench and isn't about to get up.

It's a small wonder that he's on any fantasy roster! Why have you kept him this long???

Basically because the rest of my team has been dealing. Plus I usually don't release players early in the season as many start out slow. Otherwise I would have dumped Santana and Eric Chavez in years past.

But the break in period is over and he's not even getting into the lineup which means it's time to go.

Thanks guys!

That's when I did it. My league counts K's against, so I was having a hard time seeing any upside.

BTW, on his best day this guy shouldn't be confused with Santana or Chavez.

What he said. Once he got taken out of the leadoff spot he was dead to me. His injured shoulder is probably what is holding him back.

Agreed, why anyone is still hanging on to him is beyond me at this point. :-t

Remember the good old days when we were sure that being in That Ballpark in That Lineup was going to make Wilkerson the best sleeper this side of, er, Daniel Cabrera?
