Atkins is pretty good and I think he will have a decent season this year especially playing at Coors Field.

Atkins may end up at 1B down the road. He's not exactly a defensive dynamo to begin with and Helton is a candidate for a trade or early retirement given his physical issues. I'm not talking this season, but down the road, say 2008.

Batting Average of Balls [put] In Play means that he's getting a lot of breaks (ie the defense misplaying a ball, but not committing an error or balls going for hits that ordinarily shouldn't be). ISO is Isolated Power is (SLG% - BA) which shows that he's not getting extra base hits at a rate much higher than league average.

Could Atkins move to 2b next year to make room for Stewart @ 3b?

You have to think no matter how good Atkins is, Stewart is the one who will be the Rox answer @ 3b.

I haven't checked the data on this, but wouldn't Coors Field, on average, bump up a players BABIP due to the dimensions of the park. Down the line is about 350ft. which means outfielders have much more room to cover and consequently more balls fall in for hits.

Stewart is not very good in the field he has already made I think 5 errors in the minors.I have been reading stuff that says if Atkins pans out Stewart is going to move to the outfield or firstbase.Atkins is a very good hitter and expect him to keep it up.He had good numbers in the minors and in college so its not like hes oming out of nowhere

Stewart isn't that great of a 3b, and there has been talk about him ever since he was drafted about moving him to the OF

This is a retarded stat the guy has been hitting the ball hard guess you havent been watching the games.Stuff like this makes me laugh its not going to determine if the guy is good or not
