Basically, some guys wanted to protest something, and figured burning a US flag on a baseball field would be a really good way to get their message accross, but as they were trying to light the flag on fire, one of the OFs ran up and grabbed the flag before they could get it burning.
I only post this because I think it's really cool and because I hadn't heard about it before today. So please, no comments on politics. Rather, lets talk about cool, non-baseball related things that we've seen happen at or around baseball games.

Rick Monday now does color for the Dodgers along with Scully, who's call of the incident is accessible through that link you provided. I've seen/read accounts of this many times since Im in the LA area and its revisted each year but it never gets old; I got goose bumps reading the article and listening to the crowd on the audio clip, and im not even an american citizen. Good job Rick
So I started to run after them. To this day, I couldn't tell you what was running through my mind except I was mad, I was angry and it was wrong for a lot of reasons.
Heard bits about this over time, but never read the full story before today. MLB.com has a great article on it (w/ link below).. In the article it's gives a great reinactment by Monday and how he had to think so dang quick by the split second to react and make history..
What a great crowd, just like the crowd in the world sumo classic today, who started chanting USA-USA-USA after the 245 pound Yale grad got tossed out the ring by the 360 pound Polish guy with a mullet.
