They don't want him to reaggravate the injury on a swing. With tonight and tomorrow off, and the off-day Thursday, just a little more precaution. With Giles and now Chipper back, they're being cautious since Betemit has played well the last couple of weeks.

I understand their point.. It's killed me to keep him in there from various sites saying he will play.. Now Rotoworld said maybe he may be able to just come off the bench Fri.. Will he even play at all this week?.. Maybe not

I wouldn't expect him back this week.

I would rather be safe and see him in the lineup on Monday or something. The strain is something he can easily strain again if he is not careful.
