Jorge Cantu did not start Tuesday night because of a sore left foot.
Cantu has been bothered by the foot for more than a couple of weeks now. He'll be examined again on Wednesday. Nick Green started at second base.

The Associated Press' Mike Fitzpatrick reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays 2B Jorge Cantu (foot) was a late scratch from the team's game Tuesday, April 25, because of a bruised left foot. He had missed almost a week of action earlier in the month because of a left foot injury and felt discomfort in his foot during pre-game batting practice. He was due to visit a doctor in New York Wednesday, April 26. The team is currently in New York playing the New York Yankees. Infielder Nick Green took Cantu's place in the lineup.

I thought I just saw on the ESPN ticker during the Indians/Red Sox game that Cantu was placed on the DL with a broken bone in his foot ... can anyone confirm or refute that?

at least he's only supposed to miss two or three weeks, could be worse with a broken bone...

Yea, thats a big bat to be without at second base. Get well soon.

Danny Uggla and Hector Luna are looking like decent replacements in the meantime
