Milledge or Diaz?

Postby FalcoAtL » Tue Apr 25, 2006 3:44 pm

Beltran is on the DL, who will they call up? I've heard Diaz according to Rotoworld. I'm not sure they're right though since they were wrong with Aybar and Kendrick.

Source? I haven't seen anything that says he was DL'd. If they did DL him it would be more likely that Diaz would get the call.

Even for a temp job, I don't think either are worth picking up.

Milledge has 30/30 written all over him but not yet.

Diaz is just your typical .270-30-80 slugger

The reports I've seen have the team leaning toward Diaz.

I would expect Diaz to be called up before Milledge

It will be Diaz. The Mets are not going to start Milledge's arbitration clock so he can fill in for a week or two.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Omar Minaya specifically ruled out Milledge.

Good for them...makes more sense for everyone involved that way.
