i liked the "unpimp" commercials, but these new ones are just plain good all-around.
if you haven't seen them, they basically pick up a conversation in the car and then out of nowhere the car gets clocked by another car. Its shown from inside the VW and you see people get their face stuffed in the airbags and stuff. i can't tell if its real or not, but it looks real. anybody know if they are?

Who watches commercials anymore? Don't you people own remotes?
OK, I'll confess that on the rare occasion that I'm actually watching TV with a remote nowhere in reach, I've seen both the Pimp and Crash commercials. The Pimps were OK - funky but not memorable. The Crash ones shock the stuffing out of you the first time you see them.
I saw on the Today show that they were switching campaigns or at least airing these new crash ones. Something else. One of them you can kind of see coming, but a couple of the other ones scare ya.
I think it will make people want to get safer cars and hopefully drive more careful...Now, buy a new Jetta? Well, I guess that remains to be seen...
