haha yes
after a hr the guys in the dugout have been known to take his helmet off his head while acting like its huge and heavy
I think we just found the next Shelton . Vote Mench for president of the overhype club, down with Shelton.
if mench is anything he's streaky
but he tore it up in spring training, i figured him for 30hrs this year, and that doesnt seem to be a stretch now.
but yeah, give him a week and he'll be 0for again
What I find funny is that guys like Mench and Shelton, who are both 25 HR power guys, get on a hot streak in any given month of the season, and then they are suddenly crowned by some as 40 HR guys . Every month in every MLB season some average power hitters will get hot for a few weeks, but that does not make them the next David Ortiz or Albert Pujols people. Come on guys, we are smarter than this aren't we?
i dont think anyones going that far...but 30hrs isnt out of the possibility for mench.
he's one of those guys who has been average, but has had the potential to be above average.

Any player in the bigs can and will go on hot streaks and slumps. But its also true that any guy such as a Mench, can have a breakout/career year where he exceeds all expectations. Hot spring, prime age, texas, improved footwear, this could be the year, or not, we'll see
