I like Billingsley a bit better. His stuff is very good and when you take into the fact he will play 1/2 his games in Dodger stadium, that raises his value a bit. Lester being in the AL East also hurts his value a bit imo.

Billingsley every day and twice on Sunday. ;-)

He is pretty easily my top pitching prospect in the minors, I still like him more than Verlander and Cain.

Going into the year i had them equal. But with Lester struggles in spring training and early in the ML season i have to give Billingsly a slight edge.

Well I tell ya. No love for Baseball America's minor league pitcher of the year in 2005? That is just wrong. Besides the obvious Red Sox favoritsm, Lester is a lefty with a 3 plus pitches and excellent pitching saavy. Billingsley has performes well so far this year, but Lester is on a severe pitch count. Here is the report on Lester:

He does have 11 strikeouts in only 8 1/3 innings and remains an elite prospect. He could get the call at some point this season and would be a hot pickup considering he'd be pitching for a contender such as Boston. His minor league numbers will improve and he should be targeted in all keeper leagues.

He doesn't have 3 plus pitches. Lester was mainly a FB/Change up pitcher last year which were his best two pitches, his breaking pitch wasn't as developed.
