Yes, but the fact that he put runners on the corners couldn't have helped.

Rietsma's still got the job for now, but he'll be on a tighter and tighter leash each time he struggles. They're beginning to see the writing on the wall and aren't going to let him work through his problems out there much longer if they continue. He can still turn it around, though.

The reason Reitsma went in the 8th was to face the 3, 4, 5 batters. He stunk it up big time in the 8th and 9th though. A closer is suppose to be 1-2-3 outs. If he keeps this up, he'll get the yank.

Yep, they intended all along for him to pitch the 2 inning save, facing the tougher part of the order in the 8th. Only he let a lot of runners get on base, which forced Cox's hand. He still has the job, but the Braves confidence in him as a closer couldn't be lower. I see either Villa or Ray getting the job within a month.
