after trade is this league mine?

I know its early, but I'm pretty excited about this team. hopefully my thome/kent for soriano trade will go through. (I don't see why not). my team will look like this:
12 team roto yahoo+ league, non-keeper
R/HR/RBI/AVG/SB W/S/K/ERA/WHIP

C- Posada
1ST- D. Ortiz
2ND- A. Soriano
3RD- H. Blalock
SS- K. Greene DL- C. Izturis
OF- G. Sheffield
OF- J. Edmonds
OF- T. hunter
Util- R. Freel

SP- R. Halladay, C. Carpenter, B. Zito, J. Bonderman, D. Lowe, Clemens
RP- D. Turnbow, M. Gonzalez, J. Papelbon , R. Soriano, F. Liriano

If that trade goes through you'll be solid. Does Ortiz qualify at 1st in your league already though? It's tough to let Thome go too especially after his hot start, but it looks like you can afford it. The biggest hole on your team after this is going to be at SS. Everything else looks solid.

if i were you, i`d consider picking up a more solid SS.

It all depends on the other teams in your league, but I dont like the trade you just did and Im not too high on your team either...few points



1. Thome is back in the American league and DH'ing which means he will straight mash all year long, look for 40 plus homers 110 runs, 125 RBI's, Kent will be around 25 homers 100 runs and over 100 RBI's, especially with Drew and Furcal ahead of him and Nomar behind him. Soriano is only going to help you in steals but you gave up 65-70 homers, close to 250 RBI's and over 200 runs to get him.

2. Id have held on to Kent at 2B and traded Thome for someone like Reyes, then you could have stayed solid at 2B with Kent and moved your extra 1B to upgrade your worst position (SS)

3. For a 12 team league your OF is pretty good, but Hunter is going to kill your BA.

4. Your saving grace and why you might be the class of your league is your pitching. If Halladay stays healthy and Clemens comes back your pitching staff will be second to no one.

Yeah, I think you gave up too much for Soriano. Thome, as hot as he's been. should have fetched you more than just Soriano by himself and you could have addressed a positon of greater need (def. SS or another OF position). Soriano is still an upgrade over Kent, IMO. Not too shabby a team for a 12 man league.
