Anyone know if he's still gonna close in Detroit now that Todd Jones is back? I saw he got a save yesterday... is that because he's got the job or are they bringing Jones back slowly? any help at all?

Bringing Jones back slowly. Jones will close but I am holding onto Rodney.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

oh no doubt i'm holding him... but the question is whether i should bother starting him this week if i'm strapped for saves... (we count IP as a category so i currently have escobar as my 3rd reliever, giving me an extra starter, so that's the alternative)

I'd probably keep Rodney in the lineup unless you desperately need those extra IP. Tough to guess how many save opps they will have this week but I doubt they put Jones in on back-to-back days.
