Does anybody have any idea why Hafner isn't in the lineup today? He's a DH...it's not like he needs days off to rest. Is he hurt?

Hafner has never had a hit against affeldt and the indians wanted to get V-mart some time at DH.

I agree with all of this, why does a DH need a day off? He gets half the game off every day. I guess the lefty righty sort of makes sense, but you'd think you'd play him in an effort to win the series after you split with the tigers and loose 2 of 3 to the o's. Wouldn't you want to go .500 on the road trip?

Yea, at least V mart was in the lineup as the DH. Its just odd to sit a guy that doesn't play everyday. How often does Bib Papi sit during the season?

I just think there's better games to sit than when you're trying to .500 on the roadtrip by salvaging the rubber game with the royals.
