Mike Lowell....

Postby bryan1327 » Sun Jul 20, 2003 8:47 pm

Setting my line up for the week...I keep hearing different things about Lowell..rangeing from he should be back in the line up come Monday...to day to day...to...definately out for a couple games to a week?...

I can only do my line up now and it is set for the week...Lowell plays my IF position...my only other options are...

1. Move Dunn to Lowells spot for the week...

2. Move Huff to Lowell's...and pick between Dunn and Burrell to go to the OF spot...

What do you think?...

I would sit him for the week. This is from CBSSportsline:

FANTASY UPDATE

The South Florida Sun Sentinel says that Mike Lowell (groin) will probably be placed on the 15-day disabled list by the Marlins. Surgery on his left groin is likely, but he will undergo further examination today.

Last thing I heard was that he could be back on Monday and the manager said that the three days off were probably good for him. That leads me to believe that Lowell will be in the lineup tomorrow.

As to the other options: I don't mind moving Huff to Lowell's spot, but I wouldn't want Dunn or Burrell in the lineup. I'd probably just chance it that Lowell will be back at some point in the week.

Lowell tests reveal nothing serious
Cancer ruled out; he could return Monday
BY CLARK SPENCER

Mike Lowell could be back on the field Monday after a battery of tests performed over the past two days revealed he is likely suffering from nothing more than a strained groin, as was suspected all along.

But his absence the past two games led to greater-than-normal concerns because of his bout with testicular cancer in 1999. To be safe, Lowell was examined Saturday at the University of Florida Medical Center, and tests conducted there ruled out the possibility of cancer in the left groin and hip area.

I would go ahead and start him, and hope he is back in...I sure don't want Burrell or Dunn in there...
