Where's the talent?

Postby #1soxfan » Sun Apr 23, 2006 10:31 am

If you want 2 compete with the sox, you need to invest in talent, it does'nt take a retard 2 figure it out. Is'nt it like 10 straight losing seasons? So why do they have a team in tampa? Tampa is for swimming, not baseball, go figure.

Are you joking? Talent???? There is so much offensive talent it is ridiculous. I will give you we need pitching. It is a crying shame that the $200 million Red Sox lose quite often to the $18 million D-Rays. Red Sox win one championship and everyone jumps on the bandwagon. You probably live in Kansas and started cheering for the Sox halfway through their championship season.

Maybe we should "invest" (as you say) another $200 million, so I can go in the Red Sox forum and talk trash. Why don't you watch some "true" baseball like Tampa plays, instead of cheering on a bunch of greedy, money-hungry, ball players.

Of course Red Sox fans have no idea what talent looks like - their minor league system sux and they have to go buy any player that plays for them. So they have to rely on teams like the DRays to find and develop that talent.

Now, as for keeping the talent, that's an issue that MLB has and is a discussion for another day.

BTW, keep it up Sox fans. Most Rays fans I know hate the Yankees more and root for the Sox to beat the Yankees. But keep this crap up and you simply become the other evil empire with nothing redeeming. Due to "the Curse", there was a sympathetic aspect to Sox fans. But if you start acting like the Yankees, yoiu're going to start getting treated like the Yankees. And with 1 title in 88 years, there aren't many bullets in that gun.
