i am in a 20 team league and some goof ball just stole some players from other teams and processed the trades immediately. i notified yahoo of it. how long does it take them to respond and do they actually do anything or just send a reply saying that they are looking into it? i wish this guy would have done this on the first day of the season so i wouldnt have had to waste half of a season.
for the record, here are the two trades he did. who makes two blockbuster trades like this within 15 minutes? he cant even make his cheating look good.
----------------------------------
Gets
Anderson, Garret (LF-Ana)
Donnelly, Brendan (RP-Ana)
Dotel, Octavio (RP-Hou)
Giles, Marcus (2B-Atl)
Martinez, Edgar (DH-Sea)
Sosa, Sammy (RF-ChC)
Varitek, Jason (C-Bos)
Well, if he was able to process the trades immeadiately, it means that he would be the commissioner of the private league. I doubt Yahoo will do anything about it, because they have in their sign up screen and help screens that the commissioner of a private league can basically do whatever he wants and to be careful of the private leagues that you join.
the guy isnt the commissioner but he says he is the friend of the commissioner and has his password. he also says he is now acting as the commissioner because his friend doesnt care about the league anymore. and no one else cares about the league after these two trades.
Well if the commish gave him access to his account, he basically is the commissioner. Unfortunately, I highly doubt Yahoo will do anything about it, since it's a free service and they probably don't have the resources to devote to resolving every dispute.
i found out my commish's password last year. I didn't cheat all i did was process trades faster. i made a trade for zito and arod for mulder, jeter and koch (last year) and it was a good trade but the commish didn't care so i processed the tarde before i went on a 2 week long vacation.
Well, IMO, doing that to get a trade through faster than it would normally go through is cheating, especially if the league had agreed on a waiting period to give people a chance to protest the trade. If the league decided that the commish would just put all trades through without questioning, then its a different matter.
