its a ton of fun to play and not too expensive (on a per hour basis) so long as you're not an idiot with your ammo. make a full day out of it. the stuff on ESPN they've been showing sucks. IMO its no fun unless you're playing in a woods course or urban landscape. inflatable barriers and rapid fire is stupid. semiautomatic is the best b/c it allows for more movement and more drawn out battles, but you can still effectively shoot on the move. pump guns suck tho. think of the 3 guns as rotary vs. touchtone vs. speedial. i haven't played in at least 3 years if not 4 or 5, but i think i will this summer. there's a great place in IL called Challenge Park. It sort of near Joliet.

This is what we do. Go out to about 60 acres of woods and either play Capture-The-Flag or just go out and try to kill everyone else on the other team. Typically lasts most of the day, so you have to pack some food, water and supplies. Really not that expensive, since we don't buy the real expensive markers and being so spread out, we don't use the amount of ammo those guys on TV do.
