Slow start....is patience a virtue?

Is Mueller, Bradley, Matsui and Sanders worth keeping. What about Garland, Blanton and Smoltz? Should I pick up Lo Duca as a catcher and drop Pierzynski? How would you rank my 2B and SS?

Thanks

I like this team. Some guys definitely got off to a slow start, but I think you'll be fine in the long run. I'm not really a fan of Mueller as your 2B when you have Freel. I think I'd give Freel most of the starts there. You have quite a few MI. I'd think you could probably afford to drop or trade some of them. Freel gives you good flexibility there. Out of the guys you listed to drop on offense, it looks like Sanders is the most expendable because you have a lot of solid guys in front of him. Also tempted to say Mueller, but he may come in handy should Glaus hit the DL. I'd probably hang onto Pierzynski. I don't think that Lo Duca would be much of an upgrade there in the long run if he was an upgrade at all. Your pitching looks excellent. I'd hang onto all of those guys. Blanton's gotten hammered a couple times out, but he's also been solid and he was hot at the end of last year. Give him some time and he should be fine. You look set pitching-wise. Solid starting staff and your relievers are top notch. Nice job.

Mate, you got some killer pitching happening on this team. How did you snag Mariano and Nathan? Nice work....

My suggestion would be to try and use Konerko and a top quality reliever like Mariano or Nathan to try and get your self another 1B or Catcher. See what the guy holding V. Martinez has on his/her team and go after him hard. You got some nice arms that provide SAVES that can be given up for more RBI and HRs I reckon.
