There has to be something they are not disclosing yet. To go on the DL so fast from a "stomach ailment" seems a bit fishy to me. I am sure there is more to this story. I sure hope he is alright.

Well its been going around (a stomach problem) but this must be more serious if he's going on the DL. They're doing a bunch of tests.

Man this sucks. I really hope he is alright. He's such a great guy and ball player, would be very sad to see something bad happen.

im just majorly bummed, i just traded and got him on my roster friday

though ultimately i hope the guys ok, not just for my teams.

it could be that he has a really bad stomach flu, that could last a week itself...plus the time to get back your strength and fluids, so its not totally unreasonable

I see Helton is on the 15 day retroactive to 4/20. What are the rules as to when you can "back-date" a DL stint? Depends on when you last played - is that right?

I'm kind of nervous.

"With respect for the privacy of himself and his family, I'm not going to make any comment on his condition, other than the fact that we believe it's in his best interest to put him on the disabled list," said manager Clint Hurdle. "Let the doctors acquire all the information the doctors need to acquire."
"The Greeks didn't write obituaries, they only asked one question: Did he have passion?"
