Todd Helton was hospitalized overnight Friday because of stomach cramps and a fever.
"We don't have a diagnosis at this time except for the stomach discomfort," trainer Keith Dugger said. It sounds like Helton could miss several days. Eli Marrero started at first base on Friday night and may do so again on Saturday. Apr. 22 - 1:15 am et

AP story:

The Rockies rallied without Todd Helton, who was hospitalized overnight with stomach pains and a fever.

"I'm very concerned," teammate Matt Holliday said. "Any time you have to go to the hospital, it's never a good thing. When I leave here, I'm going to see if I can call him."

The team hopes to know more regarding Helton on Saturday. Fellow first baseman Eli Marrero also was sent to Rose Medical Center earlier this month for similar symptoms. He was sidelined for several days.

I wondered where he was, especially considering it was Todd Helton Night at the ballpark.

Hope he's ok. I really hope he isn't sidelined for a week too. :~(

I would be careful. Look at how long a "stomach virus" knocked Prior out...jk. :-)
